Although we are a newer business, Apex Fire Sprinkler Company has a lengthy history with owners and management having over 100 combined years in the industry. Our business was founded in 2019 when we saw the need to fill a void in quality and efficiency that had grown in the trade. Since the inception, our primary focus has been to grow our company by expanding our reach to neighboring regions and building our service/inspection division. We are now providing services throughout the state of Illinois and have made our way into the Missouri market.

Jason began his career in the fire sprinkler industry in 1999 and successfully completed the Five-Year Penn State Apprentice Training Program through Sprinkler-Fitters Local 669. After his apprenticeship Jason advanced to a foreman position and began running small to medium sized projects before turning his attention towards the service side of the trade, where he began performing troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and inspections on a wide variety of fire sprinkler systems. Jason returned to the contract side as a superintendent and began running large projects, mainly Capital Development Board projects contracted with the State of Illinois. When the opportunity presented itself Jason eventually turned his focus to the estimating side of the industry and progressed his career into management and now Co-Owner of Apex Fire Sprinkler Company.
Sean’s career in the fire sprinkler industry began in 1993 where he completed a Five-Year Penn State Apprentice Training Program through Sprinkler-Fitters Local 669. After his apprenticeship he immediately gained foreman status and successfully completed a vast amount of fire sprinkler projects on a wide variety of systems and facilities. Sean moved on to a superintendent role during his career and managed numerous large projects with extensive work at the University of Illinois as well as other college campuses. After honing his skills in the fire sprinkler industry Sean moved his sights to a higher level and became Co-Owner of Apex Fire Sprinkler Company.
Dax’s career in the fire sprinkler industry began in 1994 as a Sprinkler-Fitter Apprentice where he completed a Five-Year Penn State Apprentice Training Program through Sprinkler-Fitters Local 669. After completing his apprenticeship Dax moved up to foreman status and began running projects of various sizes and types. He furthered his career as superintendent and began managing large projects all through southern Illinois and Missouri, including a wide variety of Government projects at Scott Air Force Base. Dax decided to take his career to the next level and is now Co-Owner of Apex Fire Sprinkler Company.
David is by far the most experienced member of our team with more than four decades in the industry. At some point throughout his career he has performed every task involved in the fire sprinkler trade. He began his career as an apprentice sprinkler-fitter in 1963 before turning his attention to the design side of the trade. David has designed projects on a wide variety of systems including extensive work at the Mitsubishi plant in Normal, IL and other major facilities. David began estimating in 1993 and became Co-Owner of a fire sprinkler company in northern Illinois. David retired from the trade in 2017 but has now returned to pass on his knowledge and expertise at Apex Fire Sprinkler Company as an estimator.
With the experience of being an emergency medical technician and firefighter, Stephanie has seen first hand the value of fire sprinkler systems, as well as the loss of life and property when fire protection is absent. Stephanie began her work in the fire protection industry in 1994 at the Mitsubishi plant in Normal, IL. She advanced as the training officer and fire supervisor, overseeing and performing inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, as well as conducted annual fire inspections of the facility with insurance carrier Factory Mutual Global. In 1999, she assisted in the opening of a fire sprinkler company in northern Illinois and began designing in 2001. Designing until 2013, Stephanie has returned to the industry as Apex Fire Sprinkler Company’s Design Manager.
